Library

Our Library  
The library contains a variety of resources including books, reference texts, serials, reports, video cassettes, foreign language dictionaries and resource folder kits.

Contact details
The librarian is available to assist lbrary users on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. When the Library is not available on one or more of these days, appointments can be made with the reception staff by phone or email.


Facilities

Function Room
Several rooms are available for day or evening use by migrant communities for meetings, training and social activities. The prices as at October 2006 are:
  • Annual Fee $40.00
  • Casual after hours services fee $5.00
  • AGM/functions $40.00 (20+ people, including cooking/serving), plus $50 refundable deposit

Computer
A community computer with:
  • Microsoft Office 2003 Program
    • Microsoft Access,
    • Microsoft Excel,
    • Microsoft Outlook,
    • Microsoft PowerPoint,
    • Microsoft Publisher,
    • Microsoft Word
  • Acrobat Reader

TV & Video-recorder
TV and Video-recorder for use at the centre Free Of Charge.

Photocopier
  • 10 cents per A4 copy,
  • 15 cents double sided-A4,
  • 20 cents per A3 copy,
  • 30 cents per double sided-A3

Sewing Machines
Sewing machines for use at the Centre (no charge)

Chess Club
A number of groups regularly meet at the centre, such as the Hobart International Chess Club. If you are interested in joining a group give us a call to find out what’s happening.
