English Classes

also known as Options Classes

We provide FREE-OF-CHARGE English classes to our community to assist people to overcome language barriers. This program is conducted by experienced and qualified volunteer English teachers.

The class as are conducted in a friendly and supportive learning environment, and designed in such a way as to allow students to gain some “daily life” interaction skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students are free from the pressures of assessment tests.

Who is eligible

Our English classes are mainly provided to non-English speaking communities, or migrants who

have recently completed their basic 510 hours of tuition under the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) funded by DIMA
long-term migrants who did not access English language training on arrival, and still have language difficulties
intending spouses of Australian citizens, who are not yet eligible for DIMA funded English courses
parents of long-term international students, who are living in Australia on extended visitor visas, to care for their children
