How can you help the Migrant Resource Centre?
The Migrant Resource Centre’s role is to help migrants and refugees to settle in Tasmania. Many refugees have been subjected to persecution and have needed to flee their home country, leaving behind most of their possessions, their family and friends.
The United Nations’ definition of a refugee is:
Someone outside their own country who cannot return due to a well-founded fear of persecution because of their: race; religion; nationality; membership of a particular social group; political opinion’.
As a not-for-profit, non-government organisation, the Migrant Resource Centre has to find the resources it needs from many sources.
You can help by becoming a member of the Migrant Resource Centre, by becoming a Volunteer or by making a Donation, (or all 3!!)
