The Migrant Resource Centre (Southern Tasmania) Inc (MRC) is a non-profit organisation which, since 1979, has helped migrants and refugees to settle in Tasmania.

The MRC encourages people of all backgrounds to apply for vacancies. Our selection and recruitment processes are based on the principles of equality, fairness and transparency.

The MRC workforce has a highly diverse cultural make-up with a majority of our Staff, over 60 per cent (2010-2011) born overseas whilst nearly 70 per cent are fluent in languages other than English. 

All of our Staff must adhere to the MRC Staff Code of Conduct and our Staff are screened through the National Police Check and Working with Children checks (where applicable) prior to commencing employment.

Youth Worker

Position Vacant – Youth Worker

The Migrant Resource Centre (Southern Tasmania) Inc is a not-for-profit organisation which supports migrants and refugees settling in Tasmania.  

We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated person with a keen interest in the settlement issues of people from refugee backgrounds, especially those from a youth perspective. Key activities in this role include case management, information provision, advocacy and  project work.

This is a full time position on a fixed term contract commencing in March 2012 and finishing on 30 June 2012, with a possibility of extension subject to funding availability.
